Create a Brighter & Straighter Smile

Stained, misshapened, misaligned or uneven teeth leave many people feeling reluctant to smile openly, but dental veneers can often help to resolve many of these cosmetic dental issues.

Veneers are thin pieces of durable, tooth-shaped porcelain that are custom-made by a dental laboratory to blend with the shape and colour of your natural teeth. Helping to alter the overall appearance of your smile.

At West Central Dental, our dentists use veneers to help create a brighter or more uniform smile for our patients. Your dentist bonds the restoration to the front of your natural tooth as a way to change its symmetry, shape or colour.

Veneers are generally considered to be a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment because they typically don't require the extensive tooth shaping that may be necessary for dental crowns.

How Veneers Work

Your dentist will take an impression of your teeth which will then be used to create your custom veneers.

Once your customized veneers have been fabricated, they will be bonded to the fronts of your natural teeth.

Made from a razor-thin piece of porcelain, veneers are custom-shaped to match your tooth. The porcelain imitates the natural translucency of tooth enamel and has a very natural look and feel.

Features of Veneers

If you are looking to alter the shape of individual teeth or the evenness of your whole smile, you may want to consider dental veneers as a less-intrusive alternative to dental crowns.

Conditions that dental veneers can resolve include worn, crooked, or discoloured teeth. They can also reduce unwanted spacing and change the size of your teeth.

Dental veneers can last for many years if cared for properly.
