The bleaching kits we use at West Central Dental include a thin custom tray made from moulds taken of your teeth and a preloaded applicator containing the whitening agent. Whitening works by using different concentrations of either carbamide or hydrogen peroxide in gel form. As the active ingredients in the gel are broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and bleaches the stain. Under your dentist's supervision, whitening teeth with 10-16% CDA approved carbamide or hydrogen peroxide gel is completely safe for your teeth and gums.
